Winter Concert: Geraldine Barney

WFPL & the Watertown Public Arts & Culture Committee present the Winter Concert Series! The Winter Concert Series runs from December through March and happens the first Sunday of the month, featuring a variety of musical styles.

Geraldine Barney is Diné, Navajo- a Multimedia artist and singer/songwriter who is no stranger to the New Rep stage and has developed Soundscapes for several new works in Boston. Straddling two cultures is a prominent theme in both her art and music. Musically, Geraldine was selected by ethnomusicologists from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History to be one of the artists on two CDs: “Music of New Mexico: Native American Traditions” and “Heartbeat: Voices of First Nations Women”, both on the Smithsonian Folkways label.
