A Reckoning in Boston documents a five-year journey that began when white suburban filmmaker James Rutenbeck came to Dorchester intending to document a Clemente Course and met Kafi Dixon and Carl Chandler. The result is a reckoning with the violence, racism, and gentrification in Boston.
Watertown Race Reels is a project of Watertown Community for Black Lives, a working group of Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice, and the Environment. Funded by a grant provided by the Watertown Community Foundation.
