Watertown Race Reels: A Reckoning in Boston

All ages welcome. Join us for pizza, a screening, and conversation with the documentary team—James, Carl, and Kafi. A Reckoning in Boston documents a five-year journey that began when white suburban filmmaker James Rutenbeck came to Dorchester intending to document a Clemente Course and met Kafi Dixon and Carl Chandler. The result is a reckoning with the violence, racism, and gentrification in Boston.

Watertown Race Reels is a project of Watertown Community for Black Lives, a working group of Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice, and the Environment. Funded by a grant provided by the Watertown Community Foundation.
