 In 2023, Supreme Court of the United States ruled in a landmark decision that race-based affirmative action programs in college admissions processes violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Dr. Christina J. Cross is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Harvard University. Her research falls at the intersection of families, race/ethnicity, and social inequality.

Dr. Anthony Abraham Jack is the inaugural faculty director of Boston University's Newbury Center for first-generation students and associate professor of higher education leadership at Boston University. He is the author of The Privileged Poor: How Elite Colleges Are Failing Disadvantaged Students.
