(At Hatch) Oh, Scrap! Microwave Potato Pouches *Sustainability Series + OCTUBER*

* This workshop is part of both our Sustainability Series and OCTUBER: a month-long celebration of potatoes at Hatch! *

A yummy baked potato – delicious, nutritious, but not quick to cook. Solution – sew an insulated pouch that cooks baked potatoes in the microwave in minutes. The sewing instructions will include some simple quilting, a trick for turning neat corners, and top stitching. A sheet will be distributed in class outlining the cooking directions and instructions for washing the 100% cotton pouch. Bonus: cook sweet potatoes or corn as well, and warm up rolls or tortillas in a flash.
---
Some machine sewing experience required. If you can sew a straight line, you are ready for this class!

All materials and tools are provided.

This workshop is for adults and older children ages 12+. Children ages 12-17 may attend on their own with their parent or legal guardian’s signature on Hatch's waiver form.
