Author Talk with NYT Bestseller Pam Jenoff

Monday 6/21 | 7 PM | virtual

WFPL is pleased to join several area libraries and Haley Booksellers to host Pam Jenoff, NYT bestselling author of The Orphan's Tale. We’ll hear about her latest novel The Woman with the Blue Star, a spellbinding and moving tale about women who choose to survive on their own terms.

In 1942 eighteen year old Sadie Gault is living with her parents amid the horrors of the Kraków Ghetto. When the Nazis liquidate the ghetto she and her pregnant mother are forced to seek refuge in the perilous tunnels beneath the city. One day she is spotted by a young Polish girl, Ella. Though Ella is living in relative comfort under German occupation she chooses to help Sadie. The two girls are set on a collision course that will test them in the face of overwhelming odds. Inspired by incredible true stories, The Woman with the Blue Star is an unforgettable testament to the power of friendship and the extraordinary strength of the human will to survive.
